Description
First released in 2002 by Austrian label Klanggalerie, “Rhiz” is an album of dance music. Robin Storey works with some of his distinctive sounds, like blurry vocal samples and long drones, but rhythm is in the foreground on “Rhiz”. A discerning ear will hear elements from leftfield electronica, IDM and even acid house. But this is a difficult album, despite these surprising rhythms, especially for those accustomed to ambient spaces usually created by Robin Storey. This new edition has been lightly remastered, while the cover was designed from scratch and expanded with additional photos from the same session.
The CD is housed in a digipak sleeve and is strictly limited to 500 copies.
