Description
Concept: An orgy-porgy of sound alchemy in spring rite, featuring Rapoon and Black Faction. UK-based Soleilmoon artists Robin Storey (Rapoon) and Andrew Diey (Black Faction, Foreign Terrain) have released the results of their long-running studio collaboration. “New Cult of the Sun Moon” is an unlikely assemblage of edits, cuts, structures, atonements, a moon-lit audio seance, bronze-cast sonic meanderings, feathered bodies, and green lantern caverns. Capturing a solar flare, dipping into the corona of the sun, spinning ice clouds in the inky blackness of space, dancing over the moon, the New Cult of the Sun Moon is an interplay between these two remarkable artists from the North of England. Each artist reworked music submitted by the other, respectfully occupying his own heavenly space while intertwining his work with that of his opposite in a graceful fluid motion. From Sun to Moon: We phase, we dance, and we bathe in the rites of our ancient history. A dazzling beam of light points down to earth.
